March (once in every two years-next 2010)

Festival ‘Vienna Classics’ is held once in every two years. It is dedicated to the music composed by masters from Vienna – Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn. Viennese classical music is a golden heritage of European culture and still up to this day it has never failed to excite a modern listener. Festival events will take place in Riga and around Latvia, featuring great variety of pieces and orchestral performances of a great scope. This festival improves bonds between Latvian and European cultures and musical traditions, adding Riga to the proud number of European musical capital cities.
