Dedicated to children of all ages. Liene Circene on her CD: “The idea of this CD arrived after spending time with my daughters, working with children, interacting with their parents; after concert tours and conversations with fellow Latvians and foreigners overseas. I realised that in this rushed century people all around the world are forgetting their ethnic past. We choose fairy tales from volumes written by brothers Grimm; cartoons are provided by cable TV. We could care a little bit more and give our children something that is important and unique to our nation. In this CD next to the lullabies of Latvian nation, arranged by our composers, I also took the liberty to include pieces that are not directly nor indirectly connected to lullabies. Why? I see lullabies as short pieces that reveal an atmosphere of a night."

As a result of cooperation between Latvijas Koncerti and the German publishers Wergo, the album The Seasons has been released where compositions by Pēteris Vasks are performed by Vestards Šimkus.

An album of two CDs Tales of Broca Street includes tales by French novelist Pierre Gripari, telling a story of a family of immigrants, living in Paris and encountering various miracles in their everyday lives: Scoubidou – a doll that knows everything, water tap fairy, pair of shoes, witch of Mouffetard Street and a giant in red socks. Fairy tales have been recorded by actors Indra Burkovska, Gundars Āboliņš and Artūrs Skrastiņš, music composed by Jānis Ķirsis, produced by Irēna Cērmane.

The CD “Fairy Tales about Flowers” has been published.Valts Pūce has tailored the amazing fairy tales by Anna Sakse in music – half-a-year ago, performances with captivating narrations of these tales by Gundars Āboliņš gathered hundreds of people in the overcrowded Spīķeri Concert Hall. Spīķeri featured the very best artists on the stage – an outstanding narrator, a wonderful flute player, and a composer who feels the dramatic nerve. The atmosphere was enriched by the flower photos made by Pēteris Apse. Starting from April 12, the new album can be obtained during the concerts organized by “Latvijas Koncerti”, in the largest music shops, bookstores and elsewhere.
