Vineta Sareika and Amandine Savary. Brahms' violin sonatas

Violinist Vineta Sareika is in full artistic bloom. Outstanding both as a soloist and an ensemble performer, she is a part of the world music elite. Since the past spring, she has been the concertmaster of the legendary Berlin Philharmonic, thus becoming the first woman in this prestigious position! Between concerts on the world's top stages, the violinist still also enjoys performing in her homeland. In this concert programme, she reunites with Amandine Savary, one of the most exceptional young French pianists, who along with Christian-Pierre La Marca used to be Sareika's musical partner in the famous Trio Dali. After exploring and brilliantly recording Edvard Grieg and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's violin sonatas, both musicians have now turned to the work of Johannes Brahms. Original and deeply thought out, technically impeccable and emotionally potent: such is the work of both chamber musicians as they go through all three romantically charged sonatas of the master of absolute music - works that can undoubtedly be called a part of the “golden repertoire” of violin and piano duets.
